-Working principle
Organic compounds containing conjugated double bonds or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons absorb ultraviolet light when dissolved in water. Therefore, by measuring the absorption degree of these organic compounds towards 254nm ultraviolet light, the measurement results are expressed as a specific absorption coefficient SAC254, which serves as a physical quantity to measure the total amount of organic pollutants in water. Under certain conditions, SAC254 can be converted and displayed as COD BOD, DOC, TOC values. The instrument achieves automatic turbidity compensation through a dual beam system.
